The inhalation of fine dusts during construction, demolition and quarrying processes can result in irreversible health effects. The risk of developing disease is directly related to the composition and size fraction of the dust and the magnitude and duration of exposure. Mine Dust Lung Disease (MDLD) is not a naturally occurring disease in humans. There is a direct associated with workplace exposure. The disease can progress even after the worker is removed from further exposure.
